Deuteronomy 1:5-8

“East of the Jordan in the territory of Moab, Moses began to expound this law, saying: The LORD our God said to us at Horeb, “You have stayed long enough at this mountain. Break camp and advance into the hill country … See, I have given you this land. Go in and take possession of the land that the LORD swore he would give to your fathers—to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob—and to their descendants after them.”

Advance.

Go in.

The Israelites: God revealed in Movement

God’s will is grasped, understood and enjoyed in MOVEMENT.

From Genesis to Revelation, the blessings of God are revealed and released by the word “Go!”

As God’s children, we are called to LIVE in Movement. Kingdom LIFE is unlocked, released and accessed in a state of Movement.

Christians: God revealed in Movement

Matthew 8:20 “Jesus replied, “Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.”

Christ came, lived and left: movement.

As His Body, the same is true for us.

Christians are Movement People

John 3:5-8 “5Jesus answered, “I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. 6Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. 7You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again.’ 8The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”

Our natural born-again state is movement and mystery.

Movement is a Mindset

Mindset = an inclination or a habit. Belief, attitude, practice.

It must become a Lifestyle.

We’re Moving. Moving towards Movement. Motion is Life!

Why is this so important for us to grasp?

  1. We have to Move to where the lost live, as Jesus did. In Acts, when the early Church stopped moving, God sent persecution.
  2. Movement keeps us in God’s Presence. Miracles happen on the way.
  3. We are made for this. You come alive in Movement.

In the Arc of our Life, the question becomes: how far did we move?

Make a Move!

  1. You Move Out in order to Move In.
  2. You Move On when you Move In.
  3. Follow Christ’s example: all movement in God’s Kingdom is about People. He lived, served and died for People. Movement = loving and serving others.

What happens when you move?

Everything changes!

New landscape, new territory, new possibilities.

You Live Christian.

So, today, Move It!
